SCERIN is one of the regional networks of the GOFC-GOLD panel. GOFC-GOLD (Global Observation of Forest and Land Cover Dynamics)  is a panel of GTOS. GTOS (Global Terrestrial Observing System) is a programme for observations, modelling, and analysis of terrestrial ecosystems to support sustainable development.


Title: Land cover changes and natural hazards - integrated watershed and forest management for environmental, economic and political stability

Dates: June 20-23, 2017 (arrival of participants on June 19, 2017).

Location: SCERIN-5 was held in P�cs, Hungary. The workshop was hosted by the University of Pecs in a partnership with the Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

SCERIN-5 focused on the current LCLUC challenges in the SCERIN region, connected with integrated forestry, watershed management and natural hazards management. The working language of the workshop was English. The workshop was held in coordination with a Trans-Atlantic Training (TAT-5, June 16-20, 2017).
