Public transportation in Prague
Prague has a very sophisticated transportation system (MHD). It consists of the metro , trams, buses and the funicular ascending Petřín Hill.
Prague’s Metro system is quite new and efficient. During peak hours trains run every 1 or 2 minutes and off peak at least every 10 minutes.
The Metro system consists of three lines:
Line A • (green), Depo Hostivař–Dejvická
Line B • (yellow), Černý Most–Zličín
Line C • (red), Letňany–Háje
The Metro operates from 5.00 to 24.00.
Buses and trams:
Special lines No. 51–59 ( trams) and 501–513 ( buses) provide an all-night service.
It is recommended to buy the tickets from the machines at the entrance to the subway or in newsstands.

Do not forget to mark your ticket when entering the subway, (in tram, in bus).

Most taxis in Prague do not accept credit cards! Although it is easy enough in the centre to hail a taxi on the street, it is recommended that you book one in advance.
The official fare is approximately CZK 30 per kilometre, so please check the price list before you get into the car.
