The field trip focused on forest disturbance research in High Tatras that was accelerated after the severe windstorm in 2004. The bus journey to Tatranská Lomnica took about 2 hours, A presentation about the post-calamite research in High Tatras was given by the stuff of the Research Station of the State Forests of Tatra National Park. This was followed by excursion to the research plots, where impacts of different forest management on forest regeneration are studied. |
